Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church is located close to the center of historic old St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest continually occupied city in the United States (1565). The town was founded 48 years after the Reformation (1517). The congregation is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. www.lcms.org
Our congregation began as a spiritual outreach to the students of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, 31 December 1994. The congregation has since become a spiritual center for the local community while maintaining an outreach to the deaf community.
Rev. Mark Stirdivant
Pastor Mark Stirdivant was born and raised in Southern California. His father worked in the shoe business and his mother came from a pastor/missionary family. He graduated from Concordia University Irvine, California, and then Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He and his wife, Krika have one son, Turner.
Pastor Stirdivant served parishes in Kansas City, Missouri and Yucaipa, California, before arriving to Saint Augustine in 2022.
As we pass the second anniversary of Pastor Stirdivant's work for the Lord among us and his ministry to the community, we give thanks for his faithfulness and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ!
The Lord's Supper
We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday. We offer both the common cup and individual cups. We observe "close communion." If you are visiting with us, please speak with our Pastor prior to participating in the Lord's Table.
Sunday Matins
Matins are observed at 8:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of every month. Pastor Mark Stirdivant has been leading the service through a meditation on a part of Luther's Small Catechism. Matins will be held next on

Children's Sunday School!
Children's Sunday School meets in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00am.
Bible Class
Sunday Adult Bible class meets in the church nave at 9:00am, every Sunday morning prior to worship. The class is conducting a study of the Apostles.

Women's Bible Study
The women of Christ Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Congregation usually meet the first Saturday of every month at 9 am. All the women of COSELC are cordially invited to attend. Meetings take place in the fellowship hall, in the back of the building.
